Burke Urban is made up of a group of incorporated entities, or business units, working together in collaboration and partnership to achieve innovative development outcomes that deliver positive returns to investors and outstanding outcomes for communities.

Burke Urban recently changed its company structure to allow for seamless succession planning of the family business, allowing family members to participate and grow business units with disciplines that have specific interest to them personally. This structure allows Burke Urban Developments to remain a solely family owned and operated company, whilst the other incorporated business units within the wider Burke Urban Group can evolve with like-minded external owner participants.

The business units work together and collaborate ensuring the seamless delivery of our projects, whilst also being able to grow and expand by ensuring each business unit can operate as an independent silo. These business units are explained further below.

Burke Urban Developments

Burke Urban Developments has been owned and operated by Kym Burke for over 40 years, developing award-winning projects, focused on the planning and delivery of socially inclusive, integrated communities. Places where people are connected through harmonious, activated, beautiful and sustainable living environments.

Burke Urban Developments is considered a leader in the industry, offering best practices in urban design, place making and community development, returning fair profits for investors and partners and growth and appreciating asset values for land and housing purchasers.

Burke Urban Investments

Burke Urban Investments creates and delivers bespoke 'commercial' property outcomes. Directors, Con Tragakis and Kym Burke bring decades of experience across development, design, urban planning, project management, finance, marketing, investment and fund management. For the past 2 years their major focus has been working with the Mount Barker District Council and a specialised design and financing team, to develop a new Civic Heart for the Town City Centre of Mount Barker. This significant “catalyst project” aims to set a new benchmark for the activation and public enjoyment of the public realm and the planned development of prime retail and commercial, health and residential land uses driving citywide economic activity and employment.

Burke Urban Projects

Burke Urban Projects is owned and operated by Kym Burke and Damien Collins. This unit undertakes the Planning and Project Management of multi-use master-planned residential development projects, ensuring the values and objectives of the Burke Urban Group are delivered and enhanced. The team is highly skilled in undertaking sensitive negotiations with landowners and in stakeholder management, governance, and reporting. Burke Urban Projects is also able to offer these services and skillsets to non-competing clients seeking experienced development services. Positive financial returns are delivered to project investors and joint venture partners.
