Burke Urban has announced that Living Choice has entered into a contract to secure the southern sector of the Newbridge development to create a high-quality Over 50s Lifestyle Resort for the Murray Bridge community.

The $100 million investment by Living Choice will see a range of architecturally designed two and three bedroom homes and a state-of-the-art premium Country Club which is expected to include a gymnasium, cinema, indoor pool, and outdoor BBQ and activity areas, as well as secure caravan and motorhome storage.

The Newbridge land acquired by Living Choice, is approximately 22.3 hectares with early civil works anticipated to commence in 2024.

Dubbed the new green heart of Murray Bridge, the master-planned Newbridge community sits next to the town’s golf course and showcases two new golf fairways that weave through the centre of the neighbourhood, to create a magnificent green centrepiece for all to enjoy.

Living Choice is well-known for delivering premium retirement villages across Australia and has recently introduced ‘Over 50s Lifestyle Resorts’ to their offering. The company has considerable experience in seniors’ living, owning 12 premium retirement villages in three states, as well as their first Over 50s Lifestyle Resort, Living Choice Mount Barker, currently under construction.

The Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) named the town in the top three rising regional property markets and Canstar named Murray Bridge as one of the best five regional towns to invest in. Currently, there are close to $1 billion of projects completed or in the works, ensuring there are jobs and opportunities in abundance.

The owners of Living Choice, Ian Tregoning and Graham Hobbs, are well known in the region for their redevelopment of the $60 million award-winning Bridgeport Hotel. This Over 50s Lifestyle Resort is expected to inject another $100 million of investment into the town, providing more jobs and opportunities in the region.

The final 10 golf course allotments will be available in Spring, followed by Stage 6 which will be Newbridge’s final land release, anticipated to be offered to the market in 2024.

To date, over 90 allotments at Newbridge have been sold, with approximately 30 homes either under construction or complete.
